Woe is me

Started off the day with a nurse coming to see me. I temporarily have in-home nurses that come in once a week and put dressings/bandages on pressure point areas I have, one on my tailbone, and one on my hip. The good thing about a nurse coming in is that if I have any medical questions, they can answer most of them or give me suggestions. While she was here I had her look at my ear.

I haven’t really blogged much about it lately; it looks great, however, the part of the cartilage he cut out left a very prominent pointed cartilage area that I was afraid may cause a new sore if irritated or laid on. Also, there are some absorbable sutures that haven’t absorbed yet and are sticking out. So it began with me asking her about the sutures. She took a look, and then saw… drum roll… a little scabby area on the edge of that prominent area.

OMG! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!

It has some fluid underneath it that we got the tiny scab off and mashed to get out. So we cleaned it and medicated with triple antibiotic cream and I PRAY that it doesn’t get any worse. She seemed to think it may just be a little of an infection from the sutures. We are going to watch it VERY CLOSELY, and if I have to will call the doctor back to consult with him if I feel this area will cause long term problems.

The rest of the day I didn’t do too much, just watched some TV and finished up on some school work.

Which brings me to my next woe. MY DAMN TRANSCRIPTION INSTRUCTOR!! I have the same one that I complained about the semester before last.

She is back to her same old crap. Her grading is ridiculous on how long it takes to get a grade, and her methods, or lack thereof. She contradicts herself in her grading all the time. Will count us off for doing it one way, then when we do it that way the next time, will count off for that. She will not answer questions or e-mails in a timely manner. Weeks if EVER. Then IF she does, she doesn’t actually answer your question, just dances all around it with useless babble. I am FED UP!

The practicum (externship) is coming up and I have NO IDEA what to expect, or feel I am being taught well enough. I have an e-mail to her asking about that externship (because she sent an e-mail to the class talking about interviewing for it and we need to make sure we know what we are doing—um… and “feel free to ask me any questions you may have.” Well, I did. That e-mail was sent 9 days ago. No answer.

Then she apparently was going to grade one of my lessons that was due on July 5 (and turned in long before the due date) and she wrote a note on the lesson to me saying the transcripts were in the wrong order and to resubmit them e-mail ASAP. She marked it a “0” for the grade, so I am sitting on a 66% average with that, and it has been 5 days, and she still has not graded it. Yet I needed to send it back ASAP??? Yet, she graded one puny little time log sheet that we are just doing for practice, but did not grade my transcripts which account for the BIG GRADE??

The school isn’t doing a DAMN thing about it either other than passing the buck and making excuses. I am so DAMNED PISSED! Sorry to cuss, but this is how mad I am!
