I can happily say that I am officially an employee of Apple Inc.! This is going to be the best job for me hands down!
I start on January 31 with 3 days of orientation at the Renaissance hotel. Then after those 3 days, will be doing all of my 3.5 weeks of training at home.
I got my analog phone line installed on Monday, and am getting my dedicated internet line installed today.
I will be a Mac Expert.
I cannot believe how perfectly this worked out. First off, I am honored to be a direct Apple hire without having to go through a temp agency. This has been the longest application process I have ever been through! I got my verbal offer on my birthday (January 11) which was SO cool! The went in on the 19th to accept and sign my formal written offer and all the other paperwork. I have been wanting to do so much more for myself and not have to depend on Social Security Disability. With this job I will be making a decent living, and also for the first time in my life, have medical benefits.
This will be my first time working full-time because I have never been able to before because I need assistance going to the bathroom, and my immune system is weak. Being at home, my mom will be here to take me to the restroom, or anything else I may need. I am very excited about selling Apple products… I have a feeling it will be a lot easier than selling Dell products. But I have to give my time at Dell credit where it is due. If I hadn’t worked at Dell, I know for sure that I wouldn’t have gotten the job. This position required 2-3 years of proven sales experience, and I don’t believe just ANY sales experience would have sufficed!
So off to my new life adventure… lets see where this takes me. I have so many plans for my new income of paying off bills, home improvements, and for the first time in my life I will have dental insurance and plan on getting my grill fixed! ![]()

Hello Misty,
ReplyDeleteJust stumble upon your blog by checking other blogs on blogger.
I have a 6 years-old nephew, Timothee, who has SMA (type II) and it's always great to see people with so much energy and positive attitude!
Timothee will participate in a 2-year trial for a new medicine with the Trophos laboratory in France. Hopefully the outcome will be positive.
Congratulations for your job!
Sophie
Well done!
