Thank you sweet baby Jesus!! I am 100% back to myself! I didn't break fevers until a week after I was in the hospital. It is amazing how much fun work is when you feel good!
This picture is a good reflexion of how I felt for that week back, I was still very sick with pneumonia, typically working while on oxygen, and running fevers.
LOL! This was done with
iPhoto on the
iMac. Anyway, I cannot believe that 3 weeks of training has already passed, and we will be done with training next week! I am so excited to get to my new schedule of 4 p.m. - 1 a.m. because this waking up early is for the birds!! I am NOT a morning person at all!
Other than that, things are going well... just the same old drama around the household... it is always something, normally relating to money! LOL!
Image via WikipediaOh yeah! speaking of that! I DO have one dilemma! My NEXIUM is not covered by my new insurance!! I have tried all the other reflux meds and have had reflux since I was a child. None of them work for me like Nexium does. In fact, they just had to up my dosage to 40 mg 2x/day! That is almost $400/mo! The substitute they want to recommend is generic Priolosec which doesn't work AT ALL... So I have already filed an appeal, don't think it will do any good, but have a feeling I am gonna have a fight on my hands!
So glad you're feeling better!!!
ReplyDeletePhooey to the Nexium dilemma. Hope your appeal is successful!

Thank you Lucy, I don't have a great feeling about it. I have been reading some forums online about people with the same insurance needing Nexium and it seems their appeals always get denied. However, I made sure to make it very clear that my GERD was more than just severe heartburn, that it could be life threatening because I have a neuromuscular disease, and without proper medicine, I will vomit daily which with my muscle weakness could be life threatening (i.e.; aspiration). We will see if that gets any attention. I will be more than happy to get my doc to write a letter to them if needed also.
ReplyDeleteHi, Misty! I just stumbled across your blog while blog-surfing and read about your struggle with GERD. I do not know if you are physically healthy enough to undertake a surgical fix for your chronic GERD, but I got a procedure called a fundoplasty done years ago (pre-approved and paid by my health insurance) and I am still acid-free. Check with your doctor! All best, "Sunshine Girl"
